Went to the Dyneley Arms on May Day Bank Holiday Monday with my daughter & son. We were very impressed with the decor. The staff were very friendly & helpful & the food was delicious. We all agreed that we would certainly visit this pub again.

After 4 years of being empty, at last the Dyneley has re-opened and it is a wonder! So beautifully rebuilt and decorated as the Victorians would have done it, with little snug rooms which are all different (yes, different - not a theme winebar in sight). The staff are a little young but perfectly polite. The beer is cheap and nicely kept, slides down a treat. Haven't tried the food but the menu wasn't very exciting. The loos are fantastic!!!

went there for lunch today. lovely weather so rather busy. Had a beef and ham salad whth chips and a meat & patoto pie with peas. waited 40 mins for food, when it came the presentation of the pie was terrible all gravy burnt on side of dish and my salad was nothing more than a few lettuce leaves with a bit of coleslaw plus what i think was shop bought ham and beef (in that wafer thin stuff). won't be going again and it cost £17 quid without drinks. Hey this is yorkshire not the south east!

Not impressed at all with the service! The staff seem to be lacking in social skills. There is a 1.5% sur charge on debit cards! You walk in and have no idea whether to find a seat or go to the bar for food and there is no member of staff on hand to advise! The food was really nice. It's just a shame that the staff and miserable atmosphere will prevent me from going again.

Here's a Web 2.0(ish) site of my own that you might like to try out:

Originally known as "The Random Pub Generator" the www.throngalong.com website was developed to solve the age-old problem of deciding where to go out for a drink in the evening, how to invite everyone and how to know who is coming and who isn't.

Basically you set up a shortlist of favourite pubs (or clubs, restaurants etc), add a list of friend's email address and choose a date and time. Invitations are sent out with a link so everyone can RSVP easily and see who else is going. The neatest thing is that the venue is selected at random, at the time the invitations are sent out, from the list given. The date can be recurring so you can have it go off automatically every week, choosing a different pub each time.

The RSVP page is great as everyone can leave messages for each other to arrange where to meet, explain why they'll be late, or worse of all, why they're not coming!
