On 30 November 2006, just twelve days since Mike began keeping his pub list, server problems wiped it out! The text below was rescued from Google’s cache of 26 November, but the pub list itself has been destroyed. I could re-create it but already have forgotten the dates and the beers involved, so once again am starting again. :-(. This time, as well as backing up the database weekly, I’ll be keeping the list in a file on my own computer too!
Inspired by Steve, I’ve decided to keep a running tally of the pubs I’ve had a drink in.
I have mulled over whether to try to retrospectively build the list going back to when I was a mere 18 years old, or to the beginning of this century, or this year or to start from scratch. I did keep a list in the back of my diary in 1998, so I’ve got up to 120 pubs in there, and I can probably think of a hundred or so others, but any list would still have gaps in and would never be accurate. So I’ve decided to wipe the slate clean and start again.
So here follows Mike’s list of all the pubs he’s had a drink in since 18 November 1 December 2006!
