Down The Pub started in 1998 as Mikes Pubs.
The story goes that Mike made a New Year Resolution to have a drink in 100
different pubs before the year came to a close.
That target was reached, and Mike decided to share his knowledge and hard work
with the world and created MikesPubs.
As 1999 began, MikesPubs fell by the wayside, no new entries were made and it
was all but forgotten.
Now we have more editors on board and MikesPubs has been re-launched as
Down The Pub. Designed by Gammelsdag Design, the pubs
now have more information, historical
facts, pictures, information on their signs and many links relating to
individual pubs and drinking in general.
