The original review for this pub stated that I didn't like it. We must have visited on an off night. I have just been there again and I found it a very relaxing, friendly sort of place. It’s a sort of "Traditional" pub and I liked it a lot tonight.

This pub has now been awarded a 
award! The atmosphere is relaxing, the bar staff are lovely, it's not too smoky, you can always hear what the people you are with are saying, it's clean. It's like a "local" pub but cleaner, more airy, more friendly yet with still a fantastic atmosphere. Considering it's proximity to Sheffield Hallam University, it is surprisingly short on student clientele. The more student-friendly Yorkshire Grey and Emporium get all that trade. But believe us, this is no bad thing!
