A town centre pub which caters both for locals and visiting trade. Run by Bob and Sandra, the beer (Theakstons Best, XB Directors and a regularly renewed guest ale) is well looked after by Bob and the food at lunchtimes is pretty good. Beware though, it has a habit of closing before three in the afternoons (despite what the opening times sign says outside) Normally good crack with a good cross-section of clientele.
