reckons that this looks like an old mans
type of pub from the outside. Inside
however, it is a little traditional but
very airy and cosy at the same time. If
that is possible. I like this place a lot
and can't understand why it has taken me
ten months this year to come here.

place has been naff since I was in the
first year. It's had a nice coat of paint
for the 1998/99 student year. Its smoky,
dark, crumbling and not a patch on the
University of Sheffield bar. |

| This
place seemed to be a little run-down and
unfriendly at first. But as we all know,
first impressions aren't always right. We
ended up staying here for ages and left
rather inebriated… We asked for the
pool table lights to be put on and all
the lights in the pub went out. But the
pool ones came on! |

| I
stayed in this hotel for a week when I
was working on site in Harrow. It's quite
nice, very pricey and I can't really say
much more. I was there by myself, so I
didn't enjoy it that much. All the other
people in there were older, business-type
people. I think they were a bit off-put
by the sight of a 21 yr. old northern guy
with sticky-up hair and casual clothes
invading their space. |

Probably my least favourite Ecclesall
Road pub, the Nursery is always packed.
I'm not sure why either. There is nothing
really that goes against it, it's just
that it has no outstanding features that
make me want to write anything about this
place. If there's going to be any trouble
along Ecclesall Road, it's a safe bet
that it will originate from the Nursery.
