» Another Visit to The Abbey- The Ache!
It’s almost 24 hours since the Grand Adventure finished and I am still feelling the aches! It was a walk of almost 14 miles, with a rather disapointing 4 pubs on the way. The Barge in Rodley seemed a good one, but we arrived at five past three so were turned away due to their […]

» Matt- Old Bridge Inn, Kirkstall
The Bridge at Kirkstall is our next and probably final pub. Again a familiar pub, but neither of us have been for a long time. A nice pint of Black Sheep and a chatty landlord occupy this venue.

» Old Bridge Inn, Kirkstall- Abbey Inn, Bramley
(Waypoint 22) The Abbey, a small, quiet pub tucked away down a small lane off Leeds and Bradford Road in Bramley. Both of us went for the Copper Dragon Brewery’s Best Bitter. A good pint.

» The Barge, Rodley- The Railway, Rodley
(Waypoint 20) Our journey brings us through to familiar territory. The Railway pub in Rodley. A busy pub, lots of railway-related plaques and pictures on the wall.

Mike had a Black Sheep, while I opted for a Hobgoblin.
» The Railway, Rodley- The George and Dragon, Apperley Bridge
(Way point 19) A Two For One chain pub just off the canal at Apperley Bridge; a warm, comfortable, family pub with a Wacky Warehouse attached. Due to lack of choice and the Timothy Taylor brewery’s Landlord being off, we settled on pints of Tetley hand pulled.

The broken hand dryer annoyed Mike.
» The George and Dragon, Apperley Bridge- 2.39 miles in
Well, we’re stopping for a pastie, no pubs so far.
