Another Visit to The Abbey
A pint of Copper Dragon in The Abbey in Bramley.
We returned to The Abbey in Bramley for some further research. (It was a friend’s birthday celebration).
This pub is Cask Marque approved and the Copper Dragon Best was as good as it was yesterday.
The pub is centred around the bar, with three areas. The thin bar area has an almost life-sized Father Christmas sitting at the end to lend some Christmas cheer. Historical maps adorn the walls of the other area, showing war-time German intelligence maps targeting the shell factories at Kirkstall. The back room contains a pool table.
The staff are a friendly bunch, striking up conversation and making the visit all the more fun! A cracking pub in all.

Or walk for half an hour to the Abbey Inn at Newlay (more info here as well), Calverley’s Thornhill Arms, or even contemplate just as long a walk up the hill to Horsforth. The Barge’s house beer, as suppable as it is, is as close as to my doorstep as I’ll get. […]
