The Old Bell, Harrogate A Pint Of Ale Pub Review
A modern yet characterful pub in Harrogate, The Old Bell is a busy pub with excellent ale choice.
As part of the Market Town Taverns group of pubs, we knew that this would be a pub worth a visit before we even stepped inside. It is a pub with a Cask Marque award and is in this year’s Good Beer Guide.
The pub was warm and welcoming, with large glass windows and a bustling, loud, friendly atmosphere inside. The barman was incredibly friendly as he served us our pint and our glass of dry white. We managed to find a table at the back of the old toffee shop part of the building and while away a half hour soaking up the atmosphere.
This pub is no smoking throughout, which is either a very good thing or a very bad one, depending on your outlook. If it’s a bad one, don’t let it put you off paying at least one visit to The Old Bell.
