The Bell Inn, Bath A Pint Of Ale Pub Review

A traditional Bath boozer, it took us ages to find The Bell, but is was worth the trek!

We visited The Bell Inn in Bath mid afternoon after a morning on our feet and a bit of a trek to find this Good Beer Guide listed pub. Walking in, we were treated to a dark, almost dingy, interior full of posters for local bands and plenty of odd stuff to keep the eye amused. There were about six ales on tap. Ours was served promptly and in good condition.

We sat towards the back of the pub, on an odd raised stage-like area. The place had the feel of a youth-club hall. Ancient wooden seats lined the opposite wall, just underneath the aforementioned music posters. Solitary characters and the odd roaming child seemed to populate the bar area, lending a fantastic atmosphere to the place. Apparently the pub gets busy with the student population of Bath but it was quiet during our visit.

We think that The Bell is a good, down-to-Earth boozer.
