2006 Grand Adventure shaping up

We’re still planning this year’s Grand Adventure - a mini Monopoly pub crawl.

Matt and I have been doing some planning for this year’s Mini-Monopoly Pub Crawl in London just after Christmas. We have a rough route planned which should see us able to walk between most of the pubs. Using a variety of sites on the internet, we’ve short-listed one or two pubs in each colour group but really we’ll wait to see what’s available when we arrive. We’ve chosen one street from each colour that should give us the best and most compact route, and we’re taking in Good Beer Guide listed pubs where we can. There are two Good Beer Guide 2007-listed pubs: The Old Bank of England on Fleet Street and the Black Bull on Whitechapel Road.

The route will be roughly:

  1. Bright Blue: The Angel Islington
  2. Brown: Whitechapel Road
  3. Magenta: Pall Mall, Whitehall or Northumberland Avenue
  4. Orange: Bow Street
  5. Yellow: Leicester Square
  6. Green: Regent Street
  7. Dark Blue: Mayfair
  8. Red: Fleet Street
