The Railway in Rodley is dog friendly once again!
We love the old mutts that used to seem to live under the seats in The Railway. Well now they’re back!
When we last added an entry about The Railway in Rodley, we noted that the management had recently changed and we hoped that the dog policy would revert to its old self. The Railway has always been one of our favourite pubs and the place was just not the same without the odd dog sleeping under the seats, popping out for the occasional crisp from a friendly punter.
Today we became aware of The Railway’s new website, which proudly proclaims the pub a ‘dog friendly’ place! So it’s back to the old - bring out the mutts, we missed you!

Both links in this article are either dead or totally wrong. Is this the best you can do? And “your” has a “u” in it.

Hi Allan,
Thank you for the spelling lesson. I should have paid more attention at school. I’ve made it to thirty years old and always thought that your didn’t have a U!
I wrote the above article on 1 December 2006 and both links were fine then, so I apologise that the owners of the Railway domain name now display a football club. The internal link to my other article is broken due to a restructuring a while back. I can only apologise for that too.
I’m not too sure how to interpret the “Some people….” comment. It seems a little bit confrontational. I write these posts as a bit of a hobby and it’s a little disheartening to receive comments of that type. But still, comments are a right and I am thankful for yours!
