Leeds Beer Festival 2007
It’s almost time for our yearly pilgrimage to the beer festival in Pudsey!
It’s that time of year again! The Leeds Beer Cider and Perry Festival 2007 is almost on us. The festival takes place in Pudsey Civic Hall which as it happens is right at the top of my street. It’s only a stagger of about 200 metres home.
This is the fifth year that I’ll have been and I’m looking forward to it. The first year saw me at home recovering from a hernia operation and hardly able to walk. I hobbled up for the opening session and have visited every year since.
I try to stick to a theme each time I visit. Last year I did Local Ales and then National Ales. This year, I’ll decide based on the names on the tasting notes. I may also try to follow the ‘Mild Trail’. This involves sampling several milds, collecting a stamp for each and eventually getting a half free.
I’ll post a report on Friday morning if I can see the keyboard through the ale-induced fugg.
